1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FooVsMarket. Use of the Platform constitutes your full acceptance of these Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• One person may not maintain more than one active account.
• Business accounts are permitted with valid CAC registration documentation.

3. Listing Rules

Your listings must:

• Accurately describe the item or service being offered.
• Not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
• Not advertise prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, counterfeit goods, etc.).
• Include a fair, honest asking price.
• Be removed promptly when the item is sold or no longer available.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Attempt to defraud buyers or sellers.
• Spam, harass, or threaten other users.
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-post listings without our written permission.
• Post false or misleading information.
• Manipulate listing rankings through artificial means.

5. Fees and Payments

Basic listing is free. Premium features (featured listings, boosts, subscription plans) are subject to fees disclosed at checkout. All fees are in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless otherwise stated. Fees for activated services are non-refundable except as required by law or where we failed to deliver the service.

6. Safe Payment (Escrow)

Our Safe Payment service holds buyer funds until delivery is confirmed. By using Safe Payment, you agree to the escrow terms including the inspection window, auto-release timeline, and dispute resolution process. A service fee applies to all Safe Payment transactions.

7. Disclaimers

FooVsMarket is a marketplace facilitator. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the quality of goods, or the conduct of buyers or sellers. Transactions are between individual parties. We are not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions conducted on the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, code, and branding are owned by FooVsMarket. You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform while your listing is active.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be resolved under Nigerian jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
